DECOMMISSIONING MATTERS

You get more rebate money for decommissioning your old, inefficient existing heating and cooling systems too. Whilst gas ducted systems and underfloor electric heating attract the highest rebate values for decommissioning, you will get extra cash for decommissioning any old electric or gas heating or cooling system. You can decommission as many old systems as you are having new ones installed. You can only claim the decommissioning of an old unit once though.

REBATE VALUES DEPEND ON YOUR INSTALL

The value of the rebate depends on what you old units you are taking out, what new ones are going in, where your premises are, the market value of the energy certificates at the time and a host of other factors determined by the VEU program.
